DESCRIPTION:Now\, more than ever\, it is the perfect time to spread light a
 nd build community as Am Yisrael prepares to host Family Promise on Decemb
 er 22 to December 29.\n\nFamily Promise is a group of faith communities/co
 ngregations and non-profit organizations on the North Shore that provide t
 emporary housing\, employment counseling\, and other support to unhoused f
 amilies as they transition to permanent housing.\n\nWe encourage you to re
 ad more about Family Promise here.\n\nThere are various ways to help with 
 Family Promise\, including by signing up for:\nDinner shift: volunteers se
 rve a catered/prepared meal and join our guests and their children for din
 ner\;\nOvernight shift: volunteers spend the night at the synagogue in a p
 rivate classroom\;\nPurchasing kosher food: sign up to bring specific\, ko
 sher food items\;\nPurchasing holiday gifts: sign up to buy holiday gifts 
 for our guests – the gift list will be updated when we know who will be 
 in the program and what is on their wish list\;\nProviding financial suppo
 rt: donations are accepted through the Am Yisrael website (earmark your gi
 ft for Family Promise).\n\nPlease sign up here to volunteer.\n\nThe Family
