DESCRIPTION:Tisha B'Av commemorates the destruction of the First and Second
  Temples in Jerusalem and the subsequent exile of the Jews from the Land o
 f Israel. The day also commemorates other tragedies which occurred on the 
 same day. It is a fast day and is regarded as the saddest day on the Jewis
 h calendar. Due to the solemnity of the day\, ritual practices parallel th
 ose of a traditional mourner at shiva\, specifically sitting on the floor.
  While not required\, congregants are encouraged to sit on the floor durin
 g the reading of Aychah\, the Book of Lamentation.\nPlease join us outdoor
 s in our courtyard\, weather permitting.
