Chicago Jewish community leaders Keith and Marci Shapiro will reflect on their journey to Northeast India and their experience accompanying members of this ancient community as they made aliyah to Israel.
Sunrise Selichot Services

Begin the season of Selichot with meaningful prayer and quiet reflection by the lake at sunrise. Join us at Tower Beach for a special early-morning service as we come together in community and prepare for the High Holy Days.
Women’s Network Selichot Letter Writing

Join the Women’s Network following Sunrise Selichot Services to reflect on the past year while looking ahead to the new one. Together, we’ll address condolence notes to members who have experienced a loss and prepare welcome notes and gifts for new members—a meaningful way to support and strengthen our community.

Simchat Torah Celebration
Friday, October 2nd | 5:30 – 8PM
Celebrate Simchat Torah with an evening of food, community, and joyful tradition! Join us on Erev Simchat Torah, Friday, October 2, from 5:30–6:30PM for pizza and crudité with hummus. Stay for services and dancing with the Torah scrolls, followed by an ice cream dessert bar to close out the night. RSVP required only if you will be joining us for pizza.
Women’s Network Guest Speaker Jacqueline Saper

Join us for a special presentation with award-winning author Jacqueline Saper, who grew up in Iran’s Jewish community and witnessed the Iranian Revolution and Iran-Iraq War firsthand. Through personal stories, photographs, and historical context, she’ll offer a unique perspective on Iran, Israel, and the Middle East today, followed by audience Q&A and a book signing.
