High Holy Days

Join us at Am Yisrael for the High Holy Days as we come together for prayer, reflection, and community. Welcome the new year with meaningful services and shared traditions as we observe Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur together.
Tashlich: Cast Away With Us

SJS Soil & Soul Farm Field Trip
Wednesday, September 23rd| Bus departs at 4:15PM | Pickup at 6:45PM
Join us for Soil & Soul, a special SJS field trip filled with hands-on learning and outdoor exploration at the farm! Students will travel together by bus, departing Am Yisrael at 4:15 PM and returning for pickup at 6:45 PM.

Celebrate Sukkot with good food and great company at our congregation-wide Supper Under the Stars! Bring a favorite dish to share and join us for a festive evening together as we gather under the open sky in the spirit of the harvest season.
Simchat Torah Celebration
Friday, October 2nd | 5:30 – 8PM
Celebrate Simchat Torah with an evening of food, community, and joyful tradition! Join us on Erev Simchat Torah, Friday, October 2, from 5:30–6:30PM for pizza and crudité with hummus. Stay for services and dancing with the Torah scrolls, followed by an ice cream dessert bar to close out the night. RSVP required only if you will be joining us for pizza.
Women’s Network Guest Speaker Jacqueline Saper

Join us for a special presentation with award-winning author Jacqueline Saper, who grew up in Iran’s Jewish community and witnessed the Iranian Revolution and Iran-Iraq War firsthand. Through personal stories, photographs, and historical context, she’ll offer a unique perspective on Iran, Israel, and the Middle East today, followed by audience Q&A and a book signing.
