Join AYC for Pride Month celebrations! We will kick things off with Rabbi Micah Buck, the Director of Education & Training for Keshet, as our Shabbat speaker on 6/6, followed by the Buffalo Grove Pride Parade on 6/7 and Skokie Pride on 6/28.
Rabbi Micah Buck (he/they) is a proud text nerd, language geek, and educator who can appreciate the theology of a good (or bad) pun. Micah serves as Keshet’s Director of Education & Training, where he supports organizations across the spectrum of Jewish life to build communities in which LGBTQ+ Jews and our families can thrive. They have a BA in Jewish, Islamic, and Near Eastern Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, and an MA in Talmud and Rabbinic Literature and rabbinic ordination from The Jewish Theological Seminary. He has been a SVARA Transformative Talmud Teaching Fellow (2018-2019) and continues to enjoy learning and teaching at every opportunity.
In their free time, Micah is likely either taking photographs of the sky, baking, or hanging out with his four children and dog.
