A genizah is a storage area in a Jewish synagogue designated for the temporary storage of worn-out Hebrew-language books and papers on religious topics prior to proper burial. Due to covid restrictions, we have not been able to bury any of our genizah materials and have completely run out of room. We will have a burial of these items on our property on Sun. Oct. 23 (weather permitting) at 11:45 a.m. in the courtyard. We invite the entire congregation to join us for this sacred ritual.
PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY ADDITIONAL MATERIALS FOR BURIAL. We will not have enough space for all the items we already have and do not have the storage space for more.
